In Copenhagen of the 1920s and 1930s, jazz pulsed through the city’s veins. It was a time of artistic rebellion, smoke-filled cafés and nights that seemed to go on forever. Amidst this electrifying atmosphere, Kristensen wrote his lyrics – about freedom and downfall, about the artist’s loneliness and about the irrepressible urge to live and create.
